MRDS ADMINISTRATOR : AN ADVERTISEMENT
We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Administrator to join our team of volunteers at the
Malaysian Rare Disorders Society (MRDS). The Administrator will be responsible for managing and
coordinating the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that all tasks and projects are
completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organization’s database, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events, including booking venues and managing schedules.
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and letters.
- Work closely with honorable secretary and honorable treasurer to manage the organisation’s secretarial
and financial matters.
- Monitor and manage the organization’s social media accounts, ensuring that all content is engaging and
up-to-date.
- Maintain accurate records of all donations, grants, and other forms of funding received by the
organization.
- Assist with the recruitment and management of volunteers and interns.
- Work with committee on reports and presentations for the organization’s board of directors,
stakeholders, and partners.
- Focal person for Rare Disease awareness campaign via exhibitions or physical events involving setting
up and dismantling the booth or kiosk, managing inventory, and success tracking metrics.
- Focal person for communication with the public, potential collaborators, stakeholders and partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field; knowledge in basic
accounting is an added advantage
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within an NGO or non-profit organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in marketing and outreach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
